q Hi there! q
Thanks so much for checking out my website. When I visit my childhood home, it is evident where this love of photography came from. There are photos hanging from every wall, placed on every shelf, photos that now bring out nostalgia in me. This is what I try to create for my wonderful clients, nostalgia - for years down the road when you remember how happy you were at that very moment.
My love for photography was discovered when my husband bought me my first DSLR, 9 years ago. After that, my obsession began. I read my owners manual many times, I studied and read about photography constantly and I joined a photography group (and then 10 more!). After a couple years and countless hours of training, I decided to take the leap and pursue this as a career. I absolutely love capturing precious moments and love seeing client's reactions.
When I first started photographing clients 10 years ago, my role was more of a friend, as I’ve grown older and wiser, my role has changed to be more of a caretaker. Whether it is a family session or a wedding, I want to make sure everyone is OK while gently guiding you and your loved ones through your session.
{ Here are some other fun facts:
My hubby and I met 18 years ago "online". At the time, we would tell people we met through friends but, now it is the norm for meeting mates these days, that we no longer say that! We have 3 adventurous kiddos.
I was an Accountant in my former career and also have a Masters in Business Administration, so I actually enjoy the business side of my photography business as well!
I started my own Bookkeeping business in 2020 after realizing Covid wasn’t going away (I was working part time at a CPA firm and had to pivot).
I love any TV show that ends in "wives", yes trashy TV is my getaway.
I'm a member of Wedding & Portrait Photographers International.
I love how framed photographs can make even an ordinary moment, special.
I'm located in Goodyear, AZ but do occasional shoots in Santa Barbara and Ontario, California.
I am eager to help you create special memories and nostalgia.
