City of Grace Wedding - Kelly + Jacob

From the beautiful bouquets to the dresses and suits, Kelly and Jacob's wedding was modern, heartfelt and full of joy. They first met at a small church group and became inseparable. When it was time for Jacob to pop the big question, he had some help from mutual friends who surprised Kelly following the proposal on a hike at “A” mountain in Arizona. On the morning of November 22^nd, they were both getting ready to say their “I Do”. The ladies all got ready together, smiling and chatting as they had their hair and makeup done for the big day. They helped Kelly into her wedding dress; an elegant dress with accented bead work on the dainty material of the straps. She paired blush-colored shoes and simple earrings with it, and topped everything off with an elbow-length veil.

Jacob was so excited to see his soon to be wife and we had the opportunity to take many photos before heading off to the ceremony. The whole wedding party looked so excited for them, and it was easy to capture the joy and happiness of the day in their faces through the photos. Kelly's color choices of pewter for the ladies dresses looked great against the men's white button down shirts and black suspenders, and made their floral bouquets, made up of many different flowers that were cream, blush, and light yellow stand out. The ceremony was held in a nearby church, and before it began, Kelly had the opportunity to hold a small prayer circle for her ladies who were there for her special day.

Following the ceremony we headed to the reception, an outdoor, tented event with a rustic feel. Food was made over a wood burning fire and photos of the happy couple through their lives were hung on string with clothespins, providing a perfect location to take some more photos. There were handmade centerpieces at the reception to add another touch of 'homemade' to the event, and decorated mason jars held beautiful bouquets of flowers like the ones the bridesmaids carried. Everyone happily danced the night away, celebrating the couple and wishing them happiness for years to come.
